Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity is a core value of our medical school and our pediatric residency program. We are committed to recruiting and supporting prospective candidates who identify as underrepresented in medicine based on factors such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation and gender identity. We strive to create a culture of openness, acceptance and celebration of our differences.

We work closely with our institution-wide Office of Diversity & Inclusion to provide education on a wide variety of topics including implicit bias, micro aggressions, macro aggressions, LGBTQIA inclusion and intercultural recruitment and retention. In conjunction with this office, our diversity advisory board assists program efforts to attract residents from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences.
