House Staff Quality Improvement Council
The House Staff Quality Improvement Council (HSQIC) was created to form a bridge between Marshall School of Medicine and Cabell Huntington Hospital to increase interdisciplinary and inter-institutional communication on QI/PS projects and to enhance systematic safety and quality issues/process in the learning environment.
Each Residency and Fellowship Program is encouraged to participate with a senior and junior resident/fellow.
Faculty sponsors/mentors include James Becker, MD, Vice Dean, Governmental Relations and Health Policy, Joseph Evans, MD, Pediatrics Chair, Susan Flesher, MD, Pediatric Residency Program Director and Ashley Zawodniak, DO, CHH Physician Quality Improvement Liaison. The Council is staffed by the Office of Graduate Medical Education.
The QI Council meets the fourth Thursday of EVERY Month from Noon – 1:00 in the Marshall Medical Center Health Science Library Conference Room (located on the 2nd Floor). Any resident or fellow interested in PS/ QI is encouraged to attend.
