Welcome to Marshall Rural Psychiatry
The Rural Psychiatry Residency Program (Marshall Community Health Consortium) is a fully ACGME-accredited, four-year program. We offer comprehensive training across both rural and more populated practice settings, preparing graduates to excel in any clinical environment.
Program Highlights
- The Best of Both Worlds: Residents divide their time between Point Pleasant and Huntington, WV. This combines the resources of multiple academic health facilities with direct, impactful care for a rural, underserved community.
- Close-Knit Cohort: With 4 residents per class, you will benefit from individualized mentorship, direct faculty access, and a supportive, family-like atmosphere.
- Dedicated & Shared Curriculum: Residents benefit from program-specific didactics and rural rotations, while also participating in joint academic didactics, conferences, and subspecialty rotations alongside Marshall's Huntington-based residency.
