Study Sponsors

Marshall Clinical Research Center is structured to conduct clinically-relevant and scientifically-valid studies in a time-sensitive fashion that will benefit patients, clinicians and sponsors. Our team of pharmacists, physicians, nurses, biostatisticians, and specially-trained clinical research coordinators assists investigators and sponsors during all aspects of clinical research. We emphasis efficiency and professionalism in every aspect of the clinical trial to assure the safety of our Appalachian patients and clean reproducible data.

IRB

Marshall University takes pride in the efficiency and effectiveness of our AAHRPP accredited local IRB. Our IRB is thorough and will take all steps necessary to protect our patients, their information and our community, but is efficient enough to also be very quick. Most sponsored trial protocols are approved in just over 30 days and we often beat the participating central IRBs. However, we understand that many sponsors have not had great experiences with other local IRBs and would prefer to use a central. We offer both options:

Local IRB - $2,500

Western IRB - $4,000-$4,500
