The Medical Specialty "Speed Dating" event is an ongoing event sponsored by the American Medical Association – Medical Student Section. The event is conducted in the fall and gives the medical students (first and second year students, primarily) the opportunity to spend time with physicians from different potential fields of specialty interest. It is an excellent occasion to interact with physicians in an informal setting.

Specialties that have been represented in past speed dating events include: Radiology, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, OB/GYN, Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesiology, Psychiatry and Wilderness Medicine.
