We welcome applications from physicians interested in joining the Marshall University Psychiatry Residency Program. Our application process differs depending on the level at which you are applying.
PGY-1 Applicants
Application Process
All PGY-1 applicants must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications submitted outside of ERAS will not be considered.
We offer eight PGY-1 positions each year across our Psychiatry Residency Programs.

Before Starting Residency
Applicants who are offered a position must successfully complete a mandatory drug screening and background check as a condition of appointment.
PGY2 – PGY4 Applicants
Applicants interested in entering the program at an advanced training level are welcome to contact the program to inquire about available positions.
Application Requirements
Applicants seeking an advanced position should submit:
Advanced positions are dependent upon availability within the program. Applicants should contact the program directly to determine whether an opening is available before submitting application materials.
