Ophthalmology Grand Rounds

The Department of Ophthalmology will host a Grand Rounds presentation open to area physicians, ophthalmologists, optometrists, resident physicians and students.

Presentation Topic: Unlocking MedTech Innovations
Presented by: Tom McClellan, MD, Founder & CEO, Intermed Labs
Dr. McClellan is a native of Charleston WV and a graduate of WVU School of Medicine. He completed his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Lahey Clinic, a Tufts and Harvard Medical School affiliate. He then completed a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at Duke University and Aesthetic Surgery at Emory University. Dr. McClellan is a successful serial entrepreneur, having guided over a dozen medical products and devices from the bench to the market. Additionally he has filed or been awarded more than 50 U.S. and international patents in the medical device space. Currently, he is the founder and CEO of Intermed Labs, an award winning startup studio based in Morgantown, WV. He leads a diverse and highly specialized team that builds emerging ideas from regional health systems into successful startup companies.
