Program Structure

The fellowship duration spans two years, organized into 12 blocks per year, with each block lasting four to five weeks.

  • Fixed Schedules:
    • Continuity Clinic: One half-day per week
    • Grand Rounds: Tuesday mornings
    • Protected Academic Time: Every Tuesday afternoon
  • First-Year Fellow:
    • 6 blocks of in-patient service
    • 4 blocks of out-patient service, which includes general endocrine and specialty clinics, along with procedures every Tuesday
    • 2 blocks of dedicated research time, which includes procedures scheduled every Tuesday
  • Second-Year Fellow:
    • 6 blocks of in-patient service
    • 2 blocks of out-patient service, which includes general endocrine and specialty clinics, along with procedures and DXA every Tuesday
    • 3 blocks of dedicated research time, which includes procedures scheduled every Tuesday
    • 1 block of elective time, providing an opportunity for a pediatric and reproductive endocrinology rotation
