Second year medical student, Alex Slocum, Jr., received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on June 7. The title of his dissertation was "Rolling-Contact Orthopaedic Joint Design." Alex completed his doctoral requirements while attending medical school. Congratulations, Dr. Slocum!
