The international preceptorship program in general dentistry offers experience in the didactic and clinical aspects available through the Department of Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. This program familiarizes international dental graduates with the principles, practice procedures and protocols of a general dental practice in the United States. By observing and learning various methods and materials, participants can become more knowledgeable about expectations and clinical and didactic rigors of a general practice residency and thus become more competitive when applying for dental residency programs in the U.S.

Our program allows international dental graduates the opportunity to interact with our faculty, residents and staff and obtain valuable insights into postgraduate dental education in the U.S. Although the program is only two weeks, we welcome participating candidates to reach out to us anytime for career guidance.
