The MUSOM Wellness Wheel: A Holistic Guide to Medical Student Well-Being
Medical school is a transformative, demanding journey, where the intense pace can sometimes overshadow the essential practice of self-care. At MUSOM, we recognize that a fulfilling and sustainable medical career begins with a balanced approach to well-being during these formative years. That’s why we’ve developed the MUSOM Wellness Wheel—a multidimensional guide designed to support our students across all aspects of life and learning. Each area of this wheel contributes to a student’s overall health, resilience, and personal growth, ensuring that they not only excel academically, but also thrive in their personal lives. By nurturing these interconnected dimensions, students cultivate the habits, self-awareness, and skills needed for a successful medical career and a balanced, fulfilling life.
