Interviews

Interviews are arranged by invitation only.

The purpose of the interview is to assess personal characteristics that are pertinent to the admissions decision. The interview experience allows the applicant an opportunity to become acquainted with the medical campus in a general way, and at the same time provide the Admissions Committee better insight into his/her personal interests and attitudes. 

The reviewers/interviewers seek a balance of the attributes defined below. However, this list is neither exclusive nor exhaustive:

Virtual Interview Format

  • Applicants selected for interviews will be invited to a live virtual interview.
  • You will be admitted from the waiting room. After a brief introduction and overview, you will be placed into a breakout room with two interviewers. They will alternate asking questions, and the interview will last approximately 40 minutes.
  • When the interview is complete, you will return to the main session while the interviewers remain in the breakout room for a brief discussion. Admissions staff will then conclude the interview with a brief conversation to outline the next steps.
  • Applicants are required to attend a virtual student session within two weeks of the interview.
  • Applicants are also invited to attend a virtual faculty session, which is optional but highly recommended.
  • Prior to the interview, applicants must sign an agreement of terms and conditions and upload current identification as directed.
