Why I love Marshall: I love Marshall for the focus on teaching residents how to operate and handle consuls from day one. I love that we are involved early in the OR, ER and clinic. Everyone in our program is invested in resident learning and strive to help us become excellent surgeons.

Why I love Marshall: Marshall orthopaedics provides an unparalleled environment for forming close knit relationships with co-residents and staff members that are essential to having a great experience during residency. The authentic support and mentorship of faculty members is something that sets Marshall apart and will prepare me for success in my career as an orthopaedic surgeon. Furthermore, Huntington, WV is a great area to get outside and explore the beautiful scenery this state has to offer as well as providing an array of options for dining, entertainment, and more.

Why I love Marshall:  From day one, I was immersed in learning how to operate and manage consults with confidence and precision. Our attending physicians are deeply committed to our education and maturation as orthopedic surgeons. Most importantly, our program feels like a family – we always spend time together outside the hospital, whether playing golf, going out on the lake, or sharing a meal!

Why I love Marshall: I love Marshall Orthopaedics due to how supportive and focused the whole department is on making us great orthopaedic surgeons and making sure we have successful careers. The collaborative and supportive environment built here and the attendings’ commitment to teaching really makes this the perfect place to become an orthopaedic surgeon. In addition, the diversity and number of orthopaedic cases we are able to not just be a part of but lead allows us to be ready for anything we may see throughout our careers.
