Bio
In 2017, Dr. Walker returned to his family medicine roots at Marshall Health and the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. From 1986 to 2008, he served as professor and chairman of the department of family and community health at Marshall, as well as associate dean for clinical affairs, director of clinical affairs for the Robert C. Byrd Center for Rural Health and executive vice dean.
Dr. Walker now serves as director of the Center for Healthy Aging at Marshall Health and program director of the geriatric medicine fellowship. Dr. Walker is also a trustee of the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation and the Family Medicine Foundation of West Virginia.
