Marshall University to host one-day Dental Academy training

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Department of Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine will host a Dental Academy on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Marshall University Medical Center’s Harless Auditorium, 1600 Medical Center Drive in Huntington. Sessions will run 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. 

This one-day, interactive conference is designed for dental professionals and office staff, offering a comprehensive opportunity to fulfill required continuing education and training needs. The event will cover essential topics such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance, medical emergencies, radiology and HIPAA regulations. The cost to attend is $120 for dentists and hygienists, and $75 for dental assistants and office staff. Registration includes a boxed lunch and light refreshments. 

Marshall University is recognized by the Amercian Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program. Attendees will earn 8 continuing education credits for their participation.
