Frazier named assistant dean of academic affairs at Marshall School of Medicine

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. –Marie D. Frazier, M.D., has been named assistant dean of academic affairs at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.

As assistant dean of academic affairs, Frazier is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the academic standards and integrity of the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. In this role, she counsels students, facilitates remediation for preclinical students and oversees the appeals process.

Frazier, an associate professor of pediatrics, is a board-certified pediatric critical care specialist at Marshall Health. Since joining Marshall’s clinical faculty in 2007, Frazier has served in various leadership positions, including director of international medicine for the School of Medicine and medical director of the Children’s Advocacy Center and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital.
