Dr. Catherine Adams named Fellow of the Month

Catherine Adams, M.D., has been named February Fellow of the Month at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, announced Paulette S. Wehner, M.D., vice dean for graduate medical education.

Adams is finishing her third and final year of the Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship Program at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Adams completed her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine followed by an internal medicine residency at Marshall during which time she was recognized as a Resident of the Month.

Dr. Adams is an outstanding team member with a strong work ethic and positive attitude,” said Yousef Shweihat, M.D., professor at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. “She is a trusted and respected leader and a new mom who is admired for her excellent work-life balance. “

After graduation, Adams plans serve as a pulmonary critical care attending physician in Pennsylvania.

As part of her Fellow of the Month recognition, Adams received a plaque and designated a parking spot.
