- Dr. Bodiwala named Resident of the Month for May
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Reesha Bodiwala, DO, has been named Resident of the Month for May at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, announced Paulette S. Wehner, M.D., vice dean for education.
“Dr. Bodiwala adds strength and insight to whomever she teaches,” Wehner said. “She will be an outstanding hematologist-oncologist and physician educator.”
Bodiwala is finishing the third year of a medicine-pediatrics residency at Marshall. The Racho Palos Verdes, California, native completed her medical degree at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in New Mexico.
“Reesha’s commitment to excellence is evident through in her compassionate patient care, collaborative teamwork and national recognition through presentations at major conferences,” said Elizabeth Saunders, M.D, associate professor and director of the medicine-pediatrics residency program at the School of Medicine.
After graduation, Bodiwala plans to pursue fellowship training in hematology and oncology. As part of her Resident of the Month recognition, Bodiwala received a plaque and designated a parking spot.
