Dr. Anderson named February Fellow of the Month

Huntington, W.Va. – Madison Anderson, M.D., has been named February Fellow of the Month for the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, announced Paulette S. Wehner, M.D., vice dean for graduate medical education. 

“Dr. Anderson provides excellent patient care and shows dedication to mentorship and technology,” said Wehner. 

Anderson is finishing her fifth year of the pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. The Barboursville, West Virginia, native completed her M.D. at West Virginia University. 

“Dr. Anderson has been a role model for students, residents and colleagues,” said Andrea Lauffer, M.D., assistant professor and director of the pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at the School of Medicine. “She has served as a panelist at the annual Marshall University School of Medicine Mentor Symposium, presented at our state hospital medicine conference and will present at the prestigious Pediatric Academic Society’s annual conference in Toronto in the spring.” 

After graduation, Anderson will remain at Marshall as pediatric hospital faculty. As part of her Fellow of the Month recognition, Anderson received a plaque and designated a parking spot.
