The Academy is committed to recognizing and promoting clinical excellence across all entities of Marshall Health, Marshall Health Network and Cable County Medical Society. Members of the Academy exemplify the highest standards of patient care and serve as role models in the art of medicine, collegiality, and citizenship.

Background

The Academy honors clinicians who are consistently recognized for outstanding clinical care. Induction to the academy is considered the highest recognition for physicians as Master Clinicians:

• Possess deep clinical knowledge and pursue continuous learning
• Exhibit integrity, judgment, and exceptional interpersonal skills
• Are educators and role models to trainees
• Serve as advocates for patients with compassion and empathy
• Positively influence the clinical culture and uphold professionalism

Recognition

Award recipients will receive:

• A commemorative plaque and a one-time $500 donation made to a charity of their choice.

Expectations of Academy Members

Members are expected to:

• Serve as ambassadors for clinical excellence
• Provide feedback to leadership on strategies to enhance patient care
• Mentor peers and trainees

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees must meet the following qualifications:

• Clinical Experience: Minimum of 15 years in clinical practice
• Patient Care: Consistently provides equitable, high-quality care
• Compassion: Demonstrates empathy toward patients and families
• Reputation: Highly regarded by patients and colleagues alike
• Outcomes: Maintains excellent clinical outcomes, especially in complex cases
• Judgment & Integrity: Recognized for ethical and sound decision-making
• Collaboration: Exhibits strong communication and teamwork
• Mentorship: Actively mentors and educates future healthcare professionals
• Eligible Titles: MD, DO, PhD, MD/PhD, DO/PhD, Practice Status: Active or emeritus
