Department of Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

The Department of Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery complements comprehensive dental care for all ages with advanced training in general dentistry. Our faculty and staff are proud to work alongside our general practice residents and maintain relationships throughout the community to support dental health for our uninsured and underinsured populations.

 Community Outreach

• Ebenezer Medical Outreach - fully integrated dental clinic led by Marshall faculty and residents
• WV Health Right Mobile Unit - mobile dental unit serving five West Virginia with care provided by Marshall faculty four days/week
• Give Kids A Smile –  one-day event during Children’s Dental Health Month in February that provides free dental care by appointment to any child 18 years of age and younger from a low-income family with no dental insurance
• Stripes & Smiles for Veterans -  free dental care event for West Virginia military members, retirees, veterans and their families made possible with a grant from Highmark West Virginia Charitable Fund
