Mildred Mitchell Bateman State Hospital
Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital ("MMBH") is a 110-bed state facility with both male and female occupancy, located at 1530 Norway Avenue, Huntington. MMBH is one of only two state-funded hospitals in West Virginia--the other being Weston Hospital, which is affiliated with West Virginia University. MMBH is primarily for acute adult psychiatric patient care; however, some patients do have long-term hospitalizations. Rotations there will enhance residents' experience in community psychiatry and working with those with chronic and severe psychiatric conditions, as well as those requiring commitment for inpatient care.


Cabell Huntington Hospital
Cabell Huntington Hospital ("CHH"), part of Mountain Health Network, is located in the heart of Huntington, West Virginia, on Marshall University's health sciences campus. CHH is a general acute hospital that serves as the primary teaching hospital for the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. It does not have a psychiatric inpatient unit, but residents rotate there for internal medicine (inpatient), neurology (consults/outpatient), family medicine (inpatient) and Emergency Room (one month). Other Marshall residents and fellows also work at CHH (family medicine, Internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, oncology etc).


Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center
The mission of the VA Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia, is to provide veterans with the highest quality healthcare services to promote healing, diminish suffering, and encourage a healthy lifestyle as well as to provide education and training through academic institution affiliations and to further medical research.


Marshall Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic
Marshall Outpatient Psychiatry offers a varied range of mental health services and is located at the 20th Street Professional Building, 1115 20th Street, Suite 205 in Huntington, West Virginia. Currently psychiatrists, including subspecialty psychiatrists, and psychologists including adult, child, integrative and neuropsychologists, provide services for the outpatient treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, child & adolescent diagnoses, geriatric psychiatry, dementia clinic, substance use disorder and therapy for personal, interpersonal & marital issues, bariatric evaluation clinic, among other psychiatric problems.


St. Mary's Medical Center
St. Mary's Medical Center is the largest medical facility in Huntington, Cabell County's largest private employer (2600+ employees) and, at 393 beds, is among the largest healthcare facilities in West Virginia.  As a teaching facility associated with the Joan C. Lakin Hospital
Lakin Hospital, a long term care nursing facility owned and operated by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, has provided 24/7 non-skilled nursing care since 1979. The 114-bed nursing home has a long established reputation of excellent care provided by a dedicated staff. Nestled in the rural region of the Ohio River Valley, Lakin Hospital is located just north of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, on Route 62. Lakin Hospital provides a comfortable setting in the facility as well as on its outdoor campus.
