Dr. Joseph I. Shapiro, dean of the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University, delivered his first State of the School of Medicine Address to faculty and staff on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Dr. Shapiro reviewed several topics including the school’s probationary status with the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, graduation rates, overall financial health and future goals.
