Bio

Susan Flesher, MD, is professor and chair of the department of pediatrics at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Dr. Flesher has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky. She received her medical degree from Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Dr. Flesher also completed her pediatric residency at Marshall University, where she also served as chief resident. She currently serves as pediatric hospitalist in Cabell Huntington Hospital and also sees patients in the outpatient setting at our main office. Medical education is a priority for Dr. Flesher; she served as program director for the pediatric residency program from 2011-2020. Her clinical and research interests focus on quality improvement and hospital medicine. She has been published in both nursing & medical literature in the field of quality improvement.
