Sara Walker, MD is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. She is currently a busy board-certified general pediatrician in our Hurricane, WV office. Dr. Walker received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she was a nationally-ranked track runner. She received her medical degree from West Virginia University in 2003 and was inducted as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society. She began her internship in Pediatrics at West Virginia University, and finished her pediatric residency at the University of Virginia. She completed an additional year as chief resident of Pediatrics, focusing on teaching and hospitalist work. She returned to her hometown of Huntington in 2007 to join Marshall University Pediatrics. She enjoys teaching medical students, and her clinical interests include newborn care, breastfeeding, childhood development, and the care of adolescents. She is married to Odo von Wulffen and they have two sons and a third child on the way. She continues to make running an integral part of her life.
