Eduardo Pino, MD, FAAP

Eduardo Pino, MD is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. He is currently the medical director of the Pediatric Intensive Care unit at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. Dr Pino obtained his medical degree from the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. After a transitional internship at Arecibo Regional Hospital in Puerto Rico, he proceeded to pediatric residency training at Charity Hospital Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He later completed 3-year fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Jackson Children's Hospital at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr Pino's research interest focuses on prevention of nosocomial infections, with active participation in the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions' (NACHRI) collaborative initiative to reduce the incidence of catheter-associated bloodstream infections. Dr Pino is fluent in both English and Spanish.
