The 2017 Marshall University Health Sciences Research Retreat is scheduled for Friday, August 18, at the Brad D. Smith Foundation Hall, located on the campus of Marshall University.
The morning session is by invitation only.
The afternoon session is open to all students, residents, faculty and staff and includes poster viewing and a buffet lunch, which begins at 11:30 a.m.
A special seminar by Ava Dykes, Ph.D. on "Opportunities in Core Facility Management" will follow. Dr. Dykes is a Marshall University alumna who serves as an associate service fellow for the CDC's National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) molecular biology core facility in Morgantown, West Virginia.
