Bio

Dr. Charles “Andy” Gilliland, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Joan C Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. He earned his medical degree from the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine before graduating his residency in Family Medicine at Wake Forest University. He completed advanced training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at his fellowship at The Ohio State University. Dr. Gilliland is board certified in Family Medicine and has a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Primary Care Sports Medicine. Dr. Gilliland, who has been practicing at Marshall Orthopaedics since 2016, serves as a team physician for Marshall University’s Athletic Department and lives in Huntington with his wife and two children.
