 » Circulation

Those with a valid Marshall or Cabell-Huntington Hospital Id are authorized to borrow books and audiovisuals. Journals do not circulate, except in special cases. Books circulate for three weeks.  Items in the Reserve Collection circulate for 2 hours, 1 day, or 7 days.

Fines

Overdue items accrue fines at the rate of $.10 per day per item. Reserve overdue items are charged $1.00 per hour per item. Borrowers owing more than $20.00 in fines are blocked on the Library's computerized system and cannot borrow additional items until fines are paid. The MEB-VA branch doesn't charge overdue fines.

Photocopying

One photocopier is available for copying books and journals under the Fair Use provision of the Copyright Law. Users operate the copiers with a counting device, called an autotron, which is obtained at the Circulation Desk. After copying users pay $ .10 per copy at the Circulation Desk or sign a sheet authorizing payment from Departmental funds. Marshall Medical students may make copies of professional literature without charge.
