Biostatistics/Study Design Clinic

Biostatistics/Study Design Clinic

Date: August 5, 2014 (1:00 PM)

1:00pm - 4:00pm

The biostatistics and study design clinic is a hands on session with one of our core faculty in the Appalachian Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Marshall University. During a clinic session, which is generally 30 to 60 minutes, any assistance needed in terms of study design or biostatistics will be reviewed with the study investigator. These sessions range from study planning to completion of data analysis and interpretation of study results. When scheduling an appointment, the study investigator should provide an estimate of the amount of time needed in the clinic to complete their request. All data brought to the clinic for analysis should be in database format, such as a spreadsheet. Developing a clean, well-organized database is critical for efficient and valid data analysis, and instruction on database development can be provided at a clinic session if needed.
